I enjoyed this review so much. I write historical mysteries set in Renaissance Florence, and I am always looking for good books, particularly mysteries, set in Italy. I definitely will read this one. Thank you :)

Hi Alana. Thank you so much. As a book blogger for books set in Italy, I can recommend some really good mysteries for you. Phillip Gwynne Jones writes mysteries in Venice. Tom Benjamin writes mysteries in Bologna and take a look at Roland Merullo - a historical mystery in Naples. Keep in touch

Hi, Thank you! My favorite series is Maurizio de' Giovanni's Commissario Ricciardi historical mystery series set in Naples. It is wonderful. His contemporary series, The Bastards of Pizzafalcone, also set in Naples, is terrific, too. (As is the television series, Italian with subtitles). I really enjoyed Donna Leon's Guido Brunetti television series (in German with German actors, filmed against the backdrop of spectacular Venice). I made a list of your suggestions. I'll be busy!
