Let me introduce you to the creative writing tutor ( drum roll!) Karen Holmes.
Karen has put together an innovative programme of workshops -
Each workshop has a definitive goal to help you with your writing. For example...

WHO
This will focus on building a protagonist so you can develop a character file using layers of detail to make your characters convincing and consistent. Point of view: do you want to write this character first or third person?
She will demonstrate the importance of developing a voice that fits the character and how to achieve and maintain it.

WHERE AND WHEN -  
This workshop will focus on the descriptive narrative, setting, and accuracy (e.g. if using historical, futuristic or fantasy context).  How can you bring descriptions to life?

WHAT and WHY
 This session focuses on skills: ways to develop narrative/storyline; narrative structure; describing action; using back story; illustrating motivation through dialogue, etc
